I´d have liked to have been in the title race for a bit longer, but we had injuries and we couldn´t quite keep up the pace. Having said that, sixth place isn´t bad and we gave it a good run. We also won the cup, which was our first silverware for a few years. That means we are in Europe next season. It was great to be a part of a Feyenoord side that won a trophy and we were all really happy for the fans. They are great supporters here in Rotterdam and they deserve some reward. It takes a few years to build a side and we are doing that at the moment. When I arrived we had a number of targets and we have made a big step towards achieving them. We needed to strengthen the defence; this season we have the fourth best goal difference in the league. We have a new manager coming in. There will be a lot of hard work before next season, but I think we can keep going forward towards our aim of putting Feyenoord back at the top of football in Holland and among the elite in Europe. ![]() ![]() ![]() |
